Vocabulary Spelling City

Vocabulary Spelling City is a wonderful homeschool mommy tool for a great price.  A year’s membership is just $29.99!

This program is geared for kids of all ages and is primarily game based learning.  My kids love computer games.  I love when I can sneak in learning with those games.  That’s exactly what Vocabulary Spelling City does!  There are online activities (and printable worksheets too) that focus on Spelling, Vocab, Writing and more.  Basically, all things Language Artsy!

The premium version ($29.99 year) allows you to set up a Teacher’s Toolbox where you can add up to 5 students.  There you’ll be able to create student assignments, spelling lists, track their progress and then some.  The premium version gains access to more games with no distracting ads.  One of the highlights for me is the ability to create handwriting worksheets with spelling lists.  Both of my big kiddos had a blast with the Hang Mouse (think: hangman) game! There is just so much to explore that you can expect a learning curve when figuring out all the features.  No worries, though, they have developed lots of teacher training videos to help!

I don’t know about you, but I have wasted so much time trying to find this printable or that worksheet on a bunch of different websites.  I love that Vocabulary Spelling City is a one stop shop for Language Arts enrichment!  For the price, I think it’s a great resource!

**This is my little space to disclaim that I was given a subscription to Vocabulary Spelling City in exchange for my honest review shared on my blog.  All opinions expressed are my honest own.  I hope that you enjoyed and found my review at least a smidge helpful.  Because my voice is just one, I highly encourage you to read what my fellow TOS Crew friends thought about this product.**

  1. Thanks for the review, I have been thinking about using this. Did you receive my note about the theraputic listening yesterday?

    1. I really do like it especially because the price is right. I spend that much money buying "extra" worksheets or other frills during the year anyway.

I missed your note about TL! I'll see if I can find it!
